PLN
I think it is simply human nature to want to work cooperatively with other people who share similar interestes. It has naturally occured through all of human history, we are social. I think new technologies have just allowed for us to reach accross geographical barriers to connect with people we otherwise would never have had the opportunity to otherwise. Some new and great things will be possible because new technologies allows for more people to put their heads together.

I have heard of a few classrooms using Skype rather than "pen pals." I am eager to try it!
ReplyDeleteI think the ability to connect with people from a diverse area is especially important for those of us in a small community. More minds make more ideas.
ReplyDeleteYou hit the nail on the head! Having the opportunity to discuss classroom ideas with other educators is great!
ReplyDeleteI agree that it is important to discuss ideas with other teachers. Many times someone from an entirely different area might be struggling in the same area and the old saying that two heads are better than one can come in to play in this type situation. Or one teacher might have come up with a solution for that type of situation.
