PLN

I think it is simply human nature to want to work cooperatively with other people who share similar interestes.  It has naturally occured through all of human history, we are social.  I think new technologies have just allowed for us to reach accross geographical barriers to connect with people we otherwise would never have had the opportunity to otherwise.  Some new and great things will be possible because new technologies allows for more people to put their heads together.

I have an idea....

Okay, so I have been wracking my brain trying to come up with a way to use a blog right now in my class and see how it works.  In my Recent History Class I have assigned a last project that can be about ANYTHING between the years 1946-2006.  The students will start presenting these to the class on Tuesday next week.  There really won't be a test over all the kids research projects, but I would like them to interact with the material in some way.  I will post a discussion question about each project the night of the day it is presented.  I will give it as an assignment to post their thoughts about each persons presentation from that day.  Hope this works, keep your fingers crossed........

First Thoughts

My first thought about creating a blog is that creating one is easy.  I hope that the follow up work follows suit.  I am still a little hazy about how people will find and post on my blog and how I will do the same on others, but I am just going to keep reading and plugging away.
